Recoveries always take longer than one thinks. Be patient - the human body is an incredible and complicated thing... each has it's own method and time line for healing. Rest as much as you can, and let your body do what it needs to do. You'll see improvement over time.
Gino the Zombie ;). There's humor potential in that ... you know, if your wife would think it was funny when you start shambling around the house drooling, stitch-scars all up one side of your head ;). It could be fun to scare the new neighbors; add a little honest moaning-in-pain ...
... although of course that would all be socially irresponsible and I'm sure it's a bad idea ;).
