Go Bears!

The Super Bowl is about two great teams playing against each other for the big prize.
Contrary to the media buzz, it isn't about what color the coach is, or how many years a supposedly great quarterback has failed to finish the job he started, somehow making him more deserving of The Ring.

The irony here, at least to me, at this moment, is that a much maligned, supposedly suckie quarterback, can very well do in his first full season what the supposedly great quarterback has failed at throughout his career.

When the day is over, the Ring will go to the team that earns it, regardless of who is supposed to be entitled to it.

I'm a little prejudiced here, but I'm predicting the Bears are gonna bring football to the Colts in a way the pundits didnt expect.

Can I hear an AMEN?

Rocky and I are rooting for the Bears, as well. I have a "thing" about Indiana.

For what it's worth, I was rooting for the Bears too.

It's better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all.

The Bears are .500 in Super Bowls; look on the bright side---you could have been a Viking or Buffalo Bills fan your whole life.

Gino, I'd have placed a bet on da Bears if it weren't for the inconsistent QB. Do you think they are going to keep Grossman for next year?

Mercy Now said...

Oh, now I finally know what that animal image is, da Bears. Before I thought it was the Auburn Tigers:o)

mercy,
good to see ya. had me a tad worried after you disppeared right round the time those twisters hit your 'hood.

grossman back? i think so. maybe he needs time to mature. i dont know. the colts outplayed da bears, but rex threw away any oppertunities they had.

auburn??? >:(

I don't even know who the backup QB is for the Bears; does that guy have potential? I don't think the free agent market is going to provide any better options. If they draft a QB this year, they still have a few years to fill. I bet they'll keep him and give him another shot at it.

Stupid Colts :P

But, hey, I'm pissed every year when my Broncos don't make it to the Super Bowl. Next year, though. Next year.

Thanks Gino, yah the storm did hit my house but the tornadoes hit 30 miles N of me. Newly built brick homes were torn like paper.

Back to football, Vinny Testervarde's still available I believe. As for the Colts, one ESPN analyst said don't be surprised to see them back in the Superbowls in the next few years. Reason is they have played sub par in the playoffs and still managed to win unlike the Chargers that lost due to a fumble.

The Bears wasted their opportunity. That's the long and the short of it. Next year the Packers will reassert their dominance in the NFC North. I have no idea how they'll do this, but it's a lock. ;)

so you are predicting an end to the patriot's run?
i'll be sure to let kal(from the roll) know.

Hammer: you're living in lala land if you think the Pack will do anything if Brett Favre does indeed come back for season 17. He's a liability to them, and they should just tell him to mosey off in to the sunset and enjoy retirement.

I'm with 'the law fairie,' I've lived in MN most of my life; but the Broncos have always been my favorite.

Patriots: two first round draft picks and $30 million under the cap in 2007...

Plus, Brady's pissed.

Look out, baby!

(And Gino, WTF? Did you go into hibernation with Pauxatauney Phil? Where's the blogging, dude?

I agree with Law. The pack's coming back.

If the bears loose their defensive coordnator to the cowboys, they're sunk.
And Grossman will improve, he's still essentially a rookie. Not every team has a Tom Brady or Ben Rothlesburguer.

Just thought I post a comment to take it up to 20 count.
