Not That I Would Care Much By Then

Apparently, somebody with more dollars than brain cells saw fit to pay way too much money for a bottle of booze.

Maybe there is some allure to drinking some really old stuff, but as for me, by the time I got to the bottom of the bottle I wouldn't know it from a bottle of Yukon Jack.

I prefer my whiskey fresh out of the box, just like my fine wines. Everything tastes better coming out a plastic spigot; that's my opinion anyway.

:) not much of a whiskey fan myself, but I think you have a very good point. Once you get partway into it, are you really going to be able to tell the difference anyway?

It's gonna sit there because I don't think I'd want to open it if I have it.

I just can't imagine downing a shot of whiskey and saying to myself "there goes $1000." Surreal.

Isn't there some mathematical graph (bell curve?) for something like this? It is worth spending a little more to avoid rotgut whiskey (say buying Johnny Walker instead of Phillips), but then it becomes less and less worth it as you climb the price scale. I'd say that once you climbed past $30,000 or so you're no longer getting bang for your buck. Doesn't matter much to me in any case!

I'm sure whoever purchased it, the $$ was pocket change. Eh. I love the real world.
