Making The Call

McCain will top Obama, garnering at least 320 electoral votes.

Go ahead, make a prediction.

In the race to ignore the following election, I will top 75% of philosophy majors and 90% of the general student population. I will consider 100% of the issues discussed irrelevant to the possibility of happiness and 100% of the political dialogue itself deceiving as to how the population ought to pursue happiness.

I will also predict that 60% of the voting population doesn't quite know how the electoral votes work, and 78% of non-voters think that the electoral college is maintained either a) to give corporations power of oppression over Americans, b) to give the white man oppressive power over black people, or c) to steal another election for the Republican "fascists,"

But those are just one man's statistics...

I agree that McCain will win. Obama is going to have a very difficult time. I say McCain will get 306 with a fighting chance to go as high as 326.

I would agree that McCain will win. I'm just not sure that we will.

I predict that there is a 100% chance that the next president will be an egomaniacal statist.

What do I win?

Me, me!

McCain. I'm disappointed Obama didn't pick a Governor, someone with some actual Governing experience. Instead he picks someone who's been in the Senate since the age of 29. Braaaavo.

McCain / Pawlenty all the way. (Although I'm calling it 296-242)
