Observation

The wait time to see the doctor is inversely proportional to the quality of the reading material in the lobby.

The Missus and I always take a good book to the waiting room with us. We call it "appointment insurance." As soon as you get settled in with a book you're enjoying, that's when they call you in.

I gotta say, our doctor is VERY good in this area. TONS of stuff to read.

I'm always a stickler for being early to appts, be they airline flights, movies, doctor visits, hangings... so I get to peruse all of them quite a bit. I don't get magazines at home, so I take my guilty pleasure while I'm there, which isn't very often thank goodness.
